UK Theme Parks Apps on iOS Show Varied Trends in Q2 2024

The second quarter of 2024 has seen diverse trends in the performance of theme park apps on the iOS platform in the United Kingdom. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a glimpse into the download numbers and weekly active users for these entertainment destinations.

Starting with the Alton Towers Resort — Official app, we observed an upward trend in downloads, peaking at 15K in the last week of June. Weekly active users also showed a steady increase, reaching nearly 17K in the same period.

The Disneyland® Paris app's downloads began at 9K in April and saw a fluctuating pattern, concluding at around 5K by June's end. The app's active users started strong at 17K, dipped to 11K mid-quarter, and slightly recovered to 12K by the quarter's close.

THORPE PARK Resort – Official experienced a mid-quarter dip in downloads, but rebounded to nearly 12K by the end of June. Its active users mirrored this trend, ending on a high note with over 15K weekly users.

The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort app showed a more subdued pattern, with downloads hovering around 3K to 4K for most of the quarter but saw a slight rise to 5K in the final weeks. The app maintained a consistent level of weekly active users, starting at 11K and growing to just over 12K.

Lastly, the Chessington Resort app observed its downloads fluctuate between 2K and 5K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users for Chessington Resort showed a gradual increase, eventually reaching 13K.
